How to point your domain to your hosting

To make your website load on your domain, the domain needs to use the correct nameservers.

If your hosting is with Register.rw:

  1. Log in and go to Domains > My Domains.
  2. Click the domain, then Nameservers in the left menu.
  3. Select Use custom nameservers and enter:
    • ns1.register.rw
    • ns2.register.rw
  4. Save changes.

Nameserver changes can take a few hours to spread across the internet (this is called propagation), and sometimes up to 24 hours. During that time your site may load for some visitors and not others. This is normal.

If your hosting is with another provider, use the nameservers they gave you instead.
